A = 40 cm2

= 40 × 10−4 m2

d = 40 mm

= 40 × 10−3 m

dt = 1 × 10−6 s

To find: Id = ?

Formula: E = `v/d`

= `400/(40 xx 10^-3)`

= 104 V/m

`I_d = Aε_0 (dE)/(dt)`

= `40 xx 10^-4 xx 8.85 xx 10^-12 xx (10^4)/(10^-6)`

= 3.54 × 10−4 A
