Solution

Given: A fair six-sided die is thrown.

Sample space S = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}.

Total number of possible outcomes = 6.

P(E) = `"Number of favourable outcomes"/"Total number of possible outcomes"`

Primes on a die = {2, 3, 5} count = 3

P(prime) = `3/6`

= `1/2`
