The die is thrown once. What is the probability of getting (i) A, (ii) C?

Total possible outcomes n(s) = 6

(i) Let E1 = Getting event letter A, then n(E1) = 2

∴ Probability = `(n(E_1))/(n(s))`

= `2/6`

= `1/3`

(ii) Let E2 = Getting event letter C, then n(E2) = 3

∴ Probability = `(n(E_2))/(n(s))`

= `3/6`

= `1/2`
