From the question, it is given that, area of rectangle = 36 units2
36 can be written as = 6 × 6
= (2 × 3) × (2 × 3)
= 22 × 32
= 4 × 9
Then, the sides of the rectangle are 4 cm and 9 cm.
We know that, perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)
= 2(4 + 9)
= 2(13)
= 26 units
