उत्तर

36 unit squares are joined to form a rectangle with the least perimeter. Perimeter of the rectangle is 26 units.

Explanation:

From the question, it is given that, area of rectangle = 36 units2

36 can be written as = 6 × 6

= (2 × 3) × (2 × 3)

= 22 × 32

= 4 × 9

Then, the sides of the rectangle are 4 cm and 9 cm.

We know that, perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

= 2(4 + 9)

= 2(13)

= 26 units
