∴ `(-1 xx 5)/(2 xx 5) = (-5)/10` and `(1 xx 2)/(5 xx 2) = 2/10`
∵ 2 > –5
So, `1/5 > (-1)/2`
Hence, `(-1)/2` is smaller than `1/5`.
