उत्तर

Contraceptives are devices or other agents used to artificially prevent pregnancy. An ideal contraceptive should be easy to use, effective with few or no adverse effects, and not interfere with the user’s sexual demand, desire, or sexual act. It should also be reversible. However, removal of the gonads is an irreversible process and can lead to infertility in both men and women. In addition, the gonads produce essential hormones for the body. Thus, the removal of gonads cannot be considered as a contraceptive option.
