Africa is the second largest continent in the world. It is known for its rich flora and fauna and its abundant natural wealth. Though most of the population resides in the rural areas, there are many vibrant cities like Cairo, Lagos, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam in the continent.
It has plenty sight-seeing places of tourist interest like Kruger National Park, Victoria Falls, Pyramids of Giza, Marrakech, Mount Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, etc.
The cuisine of this continent is unique. Some of the famous dishes include Biltong, Fufu, Mandazi, Jollofrice, Biryani, and Piri Piri sauce. It is home to a wide variety of wild life including the African elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, wildebeest, oryx, zebras, giraffe, antelope, and so on.
The continent can be divided according to the different types of regions of vegetation like tropical rainforests, savannah grasslands, Sahara, Namib, and Kalahari deserts.
With a population of about 1 billion, the African continent consists of people belonging to various tribes and cultures. Christianity, Islam, and other native religions are followed by the people. Africa is known for its rich tribal culture and its scenic beauty.
