List the uses of neon gas.

उत्तर
- In neon discharge lamps and signs. These signs are visible from long distances and in mist or fog.
- A mixture of neon and helium is used in certain protective electrical devices, such as voltage stabilizers and current rectifiers.
- Neon is largely used for producing neon lights. Glass tubes filled with neon or a gas combination at low pressure (about 2 mm) light when exposed to an electric discharge. Neon lights are not only attractive to the eye but also effective in penetrating mist and fog. To create different hues of neon lights, adjust the gaseous mixture composition and colour of the tube.
- Neon is also used in television sets, spark plug testers, warning signals, etc.
