उत्तर

A peptide linkage (a peptide bond) is the amide linkage (–CONH–), which is formed between the two amino acid molecules.

The general formula of a peptide bond can be written as follows:

\[\begin{array}{cc}
\ce{R - CH - CO - NH - CH - R}\\
|\phantom{............................}|\phantom{...}\\
\phantom{.}\ce{NH2}\phantom{......................}\ce{NH2}\\
\end{array}\]

Where [–CO – NH–] is the peptide linkage.
