उत्तर
Let the length of the shadow of the other pole be x m.
1 m = 100 cm
The given information, in the form of a table, is as follows:
Given, length of shadow of 5 m 60 cm high vertical pole = 3 m 20 cm
We know that 5 m 60 cm = 5 × 100 + 60
= 500 + 60
= 560 cm
3 m 20 cm = 3 × 100 + 20
= 300 + 20
= 320 cm
Length of second pillar = 10 m 50 cm
= 10 × 100 + 50
= 1000 + 50
= 1050 cm
Let the length of the shadow of the pillar = x
ratio of both
Then `560/320 = 1050/x`
on multiplying thunderbolts
560 × x = 1050 × 320
`x = (1050×320)/560`
x = 600
Hence, length of shadow of the pillar = 600 cm = 6 m
