Solution

If my friend gets a fracture in the leg, I will remain calm and help him stay calm. I will not allow him to walk or put weight on the injured leg, as this may make the injury worse. I will keep the injured leg as still as possible and support it gently in the position in which it is found. If a suitable splint is available, I will use it only with the help of a responsible adult or trained person.

I will not try to straighten, pull or massage the fractured leg. I will immediately inform a teacher, parent or other responsible adult and arrange for medical help. If necessary, I will call an ambulance. I will stay with my friend, keep him comfortable and reassure him until professional medical help arrives. The fracture should then be examined and treated by a doctor at a hospital.
