Solution

  1. Sharing a seat: Once, I was travelling in a crowded bus. An elderly person was standing near me, so I adjusted myself and shared my seat. I felt that giving a little comfort to someone else was more important than sitting comfortably.
  2. Giving up an expensive demand: I wanted to buy a costly school bag, but my parents had to spend money on other important household needs. I understood the situation and agreed to use my old bag for some more time.
  3. Adjusting with siblings: My brother and I wanted to use the computer at the same time. Instead of arguing, we decided that each of us would use it for a fixed period. This helped us avoid a quarrel.
  4. Changing a game: My friends and I wanted to play different games during recess. Some wanted cricket while others wanted kho-kho. We agreed to play one game first and the other later so that everyone could enjoy.
  5. Helping someone study: I wanted to watch television, but my sister had an examination the next day. I switched off the television and allowed her to study peacefully. I watched my programme later.
  6. Choosing the class programme: During a school activity, different students suggested different ideas. Instead of insisting on my own idea, I listened to others and agreed to the idea that most students liked.
  7. Changing a personal plan: I had planned to go out with my friends, but an important family function was arranged on the same day. I cancelled my plan and attended the family function with my family.
  8. Sharing food: One day, my friend had forgotten to bring lunch. I shared my food with him even though I had brought only a limited amount. We both ate a little less but were happy.
  9. Settling a small dispute: My friend and I once disagreed about whose turn it was to use a sports item. We discussed the matter calmly and decided to take turns instead of complaining to the teacher.
