To,
The Editor,
The Times of India,
Mumbai
Subject: Urgent need to address pollution at marine lines.
Respected Sir,
I wish to draw your kind attention to the alarming level of pollution at Marine Lines, Mumbai. The area has become heavily polluted due to plastic waste and garbage dumped irresponsibly along the coastline. This pollution not only spoils the natural beauty of the place but also poses a serious threat to public health and marine life.
NGOs like Clean India can play an important role by organizing awareness drives and regular clean-up campaigns. At the same time, citizens must reduce plastic use and dispose of waste responsibly. The government should strictly enforce waste-management laws and penalize offenders. Joint efforts by authorities, NGOs and individuals can restore Marine Lines to its original condition.
I request your esteemed newspaper to highlight this issue and encourage collective action to protect Mumbai’s coastal environment.
Yours sincerely,
Mahima
