You are given the solution of lead nitrate. In order to obtain a yellow precipitate you should mix with it a solution of potassium iodide.
Explanation:
When lead nitrate solution is mixed with a solution of potassium iodide, a double displacement reaction takes place. The lead ions (pb2+) combine with the iodide ions (I−) to form lead iodide (pbI2), which is highly insoluble in water and settles down as a bright yellow precipitate. The other product, potassium nitrate, remains completely dissolved and clear in the solution.
