X, Y and Z are partners sharing profits in the ratio of `2/3 : 1/4: 1/12`. Calculate the new ratio if X retires.

The ratio of X, Y and Z is `2/3 : 1/4: 1/12`

= `(4:3:1)/12` 

= 4 : 3 : 1

∴ If X retires, the new ratio between Y and Z is 3 : 1
