Solution

X’s share = `2/3 - 3/11`

= `(2 xx 11)/(3 xx 11) - (3 xx 3)/(11 xx 3)`

= `22/33 - 9/33`

= `(22 - 9)/33`

= `13/33`

Y’s share = `1/3 - 2/11`

= `(1 xx 11)/(3 xx 11) - (2 xx 3)/(11 xx 3)`

= `11/33 - 6/33`

= `(11 - 6)/33`

= `5/33`

Z’s share = `5/11`

= `(5 xx 3)/(11 xx 3)`

= `15/33`

The new profit sharing ratio for A, B and C = `13/33 : 5/33 : 15/33` or 13 : 5 : 15
