Advantages:

1. It helps to easily measure distances on the map.
2. If the map size is increased or decreased, the scale changes in the same way, keeping it accurate.

Disadvantages:

1. It can only be used by people who know the measurement units used.
2. Drawing this scale needs time and skill.
