1. Dirty clothes should never be stored.
2. Clothes to be stored must be fully dry. Moisture left in clothes will promote the growth of moths and mildew. Just before storing, clothes should be exposed to intense sunlight.
3. Closets or boxes where clothes are to be stored should also be exposed to the sun’s rays for some time.
4. Closets or boxes for storing clothes should be free of moisture.
5. Some protective methods should be used to repel insects, e.g.,
   1. Use of a newspaper
   2. Use of dry neem leaves
   3. Use of naphthalene balls
