Solution
“Procedure Established by Law” means that no person can be deprived of life or personal liberty except according to a law enacted by the legislature. It appears in Article 21 of the Indian Constitution.
Originally, it only required that the procedure be legal, not necessarily fair. However, after the Maneka Gandhi case (1978), the Supreme Court ruled that the procedure must also be just, fair, and reasonable, thus expanding its scope.
