Solution
A stereotype is a fixed, basic, and generalised view of a group. It ignores individual variations and assumes that all group members have the same features, behaviours, and attributes. Stereotypes like all women being sensitive or all seniors being weak are frequent.
Family, culture, media, and society teach positive and negative stereotypes. Some stereotypes are harmless, but most are based on incomplete information and can cause miscommunication and unfair treatment.
Stereotypes are mental shortcuts that promote false beliefs about others, fostering prejudice and discrimination. Avoiding assumptions needs awareness, knowledge, and openness to diversity.
