Solution
Compulsive Disorder, often referred to as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), is a type of anxiety disorder characterized by persistent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) that the individual feels driven to perform.
Obsessions are intrusive and distressing thoughts, images, or urges, such as fear of contamination or harming others. Compulsions are ritualistic behaviors like excessive handwashing, checking, or counting, performed to reduce the anxiety caused by the obsessions.
Despite recognizing that these thoughts and behaviors are irrational or excessive, individuals with OCD find it difficult to control them. The condition can significantly interfere with daily functioning and quality of life.
