Solution
Analysis of transference is an important technique used in psychoanalysis. Transference occurs when a client unconsciously redirects feelings and attitudes from past relationships usually with parents or important figures, onto the therapist.
For example, a client might begin to feel anger, love, or dependence toward the therapist that actually reflects emotions felt toward someone from their early life. By analyzing these transferred feelings, the therapist helps the client understand unresolved conflicts and emotional patterns from the past.
This process brings hidden emotions to the surface, allowing the client to gain insight, break unhealthy patterns, and heal emotionally. Analysis of transference is a key step in helping the client achieve deeper self-understanding and personal growth.
