Following are the clauses of cabinet mission plan :
1. Federal union :
A Federal union of the British provinces and the princely states should be established.
The union government would have jurisdiction over foreign affairs defense communication etc.
2. Powers of union :
The union would have an executive and a legislature consisting of members from all provinces.
3. Provincial autonomy :
The provinces would have full autonomy of all subjects except the union subjects.
4. Representation of minorities :
Separate representation would allotted to the Muslims and Sikhs.
