Solution
In humans, blood passes twice through the heart to supply once to the body.
Double circulation involves:
(i) Systemic circulation,
(ii) Pulmonary circulation.
(i) Systemic circulation: In the systemic circulation, from the left ventricle blood is pumped into the aorta and to various parts of the body.
(ii) Pulmonary circulation: In pulmonary circulation, from the right ventricle deoxygenated blood is pumped into the pulmonary artery which carries blood to the lungs for oxygenation.
