Why conventional signs are not drawn to scale?

Short Answer

Solution

Some physical and cultural features are very tiny, so they can’t be drawn to the actual scale on the topographical map. For instance, if we tried to draw things like railways, roads, temples, and forts in the correct scale, they would be so small that they wouldn’t even be visible on the map.
