Solution
- The National Youth Policy, 2014 defines youth as individuals belonging to the age group of 15–29 years. Those in the age group of 13–19 years are known as adolescents. The development of our nation largely depends on how youth are supported, guided, and encouraged to become a positive force for national growth and contribute to socio-economic development.
- Youth is considered a vulnerable stage because many physical, emotional, and psychological changes take place during this period. An individual tries to adjust to these biological changes, which influence their sense of identity and well-being. This is also the stage when a person prepares for adult responsibilities, such as earning a livelihood, marriage, and later building and caring for a family.
