Solution

Electric motors have three main components:

  • Armature
  • Brushes
  • Split rings

The main part that houses the motor's winding is the armature. The electromagnets produce the magnetic field, which interacts with the armature windings. When the electric current interacts with the magnetic field, force is produced, which leads to torque.

Electrical contact between stationary points and moving surfaces is facilitated by brushes. They are mostly employed to deliver electricity to stationary wires from rotating armature coils. They are employed to lessen motor damage. In order to produce torque in the same direction, split rings are employed to supply unidirectional current to rotor coils.
