`x^2 - 3x - sqrtx + 4 = 0`

`(x^2 - 3x - sqrtx + 4)` contains a term with `sqrtx`, i.e., `x^(1/2)`, where `1/2` is not a integer. 

Therefore, it is not a quadratic polynomial. 

∴ `x^2 - 3x - sqrtx + 4 = 0` is not a quadratic equation.
