Solution
Sandalwood trees are typically found in the tropical monsoon (deciduous) forests of the Indian subcontinent, especially on the western side of the Deccan Plateau and in parts of the Western Ghats and western Maharashtra, as well as in southern states such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu and they also occur in similar rainfall zones (about 150–200 cm annual rainfall) and some areas of southern China.
