Solution
The morula forms in the oviduct as the early embryo travels towards the uterus. After fertilisation, the zygote undergoes rapid mitotic cleavage. The resulting blastomeres become progressively smaller, and their compact, solid mass forms the morula. Further divisions and rearrangement produce the fluid-filled blastocyst.
