Solution
Budha followed a simple path and inspired people to lead a simple life. Buddha’s teachings have been reconstructed from stories of Sutta Pitaka. His message to people was that the world is full of suffering and man could attain salvation by following his teachings, i.e., Buddhism. The essence of Buddhism lies in the Four Noble Truths and Eight fold Path which were as follows:
- The world is full of suffering.
- The suffering has a cause.
- Desire is the cause of suffering.
- If the desire is stopped, suffering can also be stopped. These were the causes that attract people towards Buddhism.
