The Election Commission of India has taken several steps to make voting accessible and convenient for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Polling stations are equipped with ramps, wheelchairs and volunteers are provided, and Braille-enabled EVMs are available. Transport support is also arranged when needed. PwDs with a benchmark disability of 40% or more may also be allowed to vote from home under specified conditions.
