Solution

  1. Materials that let electric current flow because of the motion of free electrons are known as metallic conductors.
  2. An increase in temperature causes the metal ions inside a metallic conductor to vibrate more forcefully.
  3. The free electrons and the vibrating ions collide more frequently as a result of the metal ions increased vibration.
  4. Thus, the metallic conductors conductivity reduces as its resistance rises. As a result, for metallic conductors, electrical conductivity reduces as temperature rises.
