1. Minerals are the natural inorganic substances that exist in earth’s crust. Ores are the Minerals from which metal can be extracted economically and conveniently.
2. They have a definite crystalline structure.  They do not have a definite crystalline structure.
3. All minerals are not ores.  All ores are not minerals.
4. Minerals may or may not contain a good percentage of metals. Ore always contains a good percentage of metal.
5. Example: Clay is the mineral of Aluminium. Example: Bauxite and Cryolite are the ores of Aluminium.
