Solution

  • Blocking: It is an illegal personal contact that stops or obstructs an opponent’s movement, whether the opponent has the ball or not. Blocking may also be called when a defender tries to stop an offensive player’s field-goal attempt. While doing so, the defender must not touch the shooter’s hand unless the defender is also touching the ball; otherwise, it is considered a foul.
  • Charging: It is illegal personal contact, with or without the ball, such as pushing or unlawfully guarding an opponent. It also includes improper defense from behind or from the rear/back side. A charge (player-control foul) happens when a dribbler runs into a defender who has already taken and established a legal position.
