Solution

The device that converts electrical energy into chemical energy is called an electrolytic cell. A direct electric current (D.C.) is transferred via an electrolyte’s aqueous solution or a fused salt in an electrolytic cell using two conducting electrodes that are dipped in the solution or the molten salt.
