Solution
If the force of friction disappeared from the world, the motion of objects would change drastically. Objects would no longer stop on their own once set in motion, because there would be no opposing force to slow them down. According to Newton’s first law of motion, a moving object would continue moving with constant velocity forever unless acted upon by another force. Walking, driving, or even holding objects would become impossible, as there would be no grip between surfaces. Vehicles would not be able to start, stop, or turn, and everything would keep sliding or moving endlessly once pushed. Thus, everyday motion would become uncontrollable without friction.
