What features do you observe in the official seal?

The official seal of our country is the State Emblem of India, which is based on the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath. The following features can be observed:

1. It has four lions standing back-to-back, although only three lions are visible when viewed from the front.
2. Below the lions, there is a Dharma Chakra, which represents righteousness and justice.
3. A horse and a bull are shown on either side of the Dharma Chakra.
4. The base also has lotus flowers, which are part of the original Lion Capital.
5. The words “Satyameva Jayate” are written below the emblem in Devanagari script.
6. “Satyameva Jayate” means “Truth Alone Triumphs.”
7. The emblem represents the values of strength, courage, peace, justice and truth.
8. The State Emblem is used on important official documents, government buildings, currency and government communication.
