Solution
The term of the House is five years if it is not dissolved earlier. When a Proclamation of Emergency is in operation, the life of the House may be extended by a law of Parliament. But this extension shall in no case be more than a year at a time. Extension will not continue beyond a period of six months after the proclamation has ceased to exist.
