2. Elliptical Galaxies:

   • These galaxies have an oval or round shape. They mostly consist of older stars and have little gas or dust.
   • Example: Messier 87.

3. Irregular Galaxies:

   • These do not have a regular shape. They often appear chaotic and can result from galaxy collisions.
   • Example: Large Magellanic Cloud.

4. Barred Spiral Galaxies:

• • These are a type of spiral galaxy but with a central bar-shaped structure made of stars, from which the spiral arms extend.
  • Example: The Milky Way (which is a barred spiral).
