Another serious problem is loss of energy and weakness. When the body does not receive enough calories, it becomes difficult to perform daily activities efficiently. This can cause fatigue, dizziness, poor concentration, and reduced physical and mental performance. Students and athletes may especially suffer due to low stamina and strength.
Dieting can also lead to slow metabolism and weight regain. Extreme dieting forces the body to conserve energy by slowing down metabolism. Once normal eating is resumed, the body tends to store more fat, resulting in rapid weight gain. Additionally, excessive dieting can disturb hormonal balance and may lead to eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia.
In the long run, unhealthy dieting practices can weaken immunity, affect growth, and harm overall health. Therefore, instead of extreme dieting, a balanced diet combined with regular physical activity is the healthiest approach to maintaining proper body weight.
