Solution

Lyophobic sols are colloidal solutions formed by substances that have little or no affinity for the dispersion medium, meaning they do not readily form sols by simple mixing. These sols are prepared using special techniques and are less stable, precipitated by electrolytes, heat, or agitation. They require stabilizing agents and are irreversible. Examples include gold sol and platinum sol. Such sols consist of metal or insoluble substances like metal sulfides and oxides.
