The simulation shows that increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases such as $$\mathrm{CO_2}$$, $$\mathrm{CH_4}$$ and water vapour raises the surface temperature. More greenhouse gases absorb and re-radiate more infrared heat, so the Earth’s atmosphere warms up.
