Solution

Steps to Fill the Data Series:

  • Enter the Starting Value: Click on cell A1 and type 120. Then press [Enter].
  • Select the Starting Cell: Click cell A1 again to make it the active cell.
  • Open the Series Dialogue Box:
    • Go to the Home tab on the Ribbon toolbar.
    • In the Editing group on the far right, click on the Fill button (indicated by a down-arrow icon).
    • Select Series... from the drop-down menu.
  • Configure the Series Settings: Inside the pop-up dialogue box, apply the following exact options:
    • Under Series in, select Columns (since you want the data to fill down Column A).
    • Under Type, select Linear (this adds a fixed number to get the next value).
    • In the Step value box, type 200 (this is the difference between 320 and 120).
    • In the Stop value box, type 2300.
  • Execute the Command: Click OK.

Excel will instantly fill Column A downward with values starting from 120, increasing by 200 each time, and stopping exactly at 2300.
