Solution

Being a federal government, India cannot impose its will on those who speak languages other than Hindi. The Indian Constitution declares Hindi and English to be official languages. The Union Government continues to promote Hindi as the official language because it is spoken by 40% of the population. We respect each other’s languages and cultures. As a result, people have the freedom to communicate in whatever language they like. Every state has its own official language. Our Constitution provides this flexibility, as does the Union government through its legislation.
