Solution

There are two ways to reach the top of the mountain:

  • Pathway: The pathway is shorter and steeper. It may take less time to reach the top, but more strength and effort are required. Therefore, it is less convenient.
  • Road: The road is longer and has a gradual slope. It takes more time to reach the top, but less strength and effort are required. Therefore, it is more convenient and easier to climb.

Thus, a longer and more gradual inclined path makes climbing easier, although a greater distance has to be travelled.
