Solution

The product of syngamy is zygote. It grows into an embryo with two cotyledons. The procedures are:

  • The micropylar end of the embryo sac, that includes the zygote, is where the embryo develops.
  • From the zygote, the proembryo develops into the mature, globular, heart-shaped embryo.
  • An embryonic axis and two cotyledons make up a normal dicot embryo.
  • The term epicotyl refers to the section of the embryonal axis that is situated above the cotyledon. It ends with the plumule, or tip of the stalk.
  • The cylindrical part of the embryonic axis that is below the cotyledons is called the hypocotyl. The radicle (root tip) is where it ends.
  • A root cap is placed over the tip of the root.
