Cost price of the article = Rs. 360
According to the question,
`x - x xx 10/100 - (25 xx 360)/100 = 360`
⇒ `x - x/10 - 90 = 360` ...`[(∵ "Discount is always calculated on marked price and"), ("profit is always calculated on cost price")]`
⇒ `(9x)/10 - 90 = 360`
⇒ `(9x)/10 = 360 + 90`
⇒ `x = (450 xx 10)/9`
⇒ `(9x)/10 = 450`
