Solution

Given: Three fair coins are tossed once. Assume each of the 23 = 8 outcomes is equally likely; the sample space is {HHH, HHT, HTH, THH, HTT, THT, TTH, TTT}.

This means 2 heads or 3 heads.

Favourable outcomes: HHT, HTH, THH, HHH (4 outcomes).

Probability = `4/8`

= `1/2`
